I started as a workstudy student at DNA in 2001, cleaning bathrooms and studios... Since 2003 I have run the International Student Visa Program at DNA, and more recently the Intensive Training Program and Professional Training Program.
Brief artistic bio (required for Faculty, Guest Artists and Subs):
I started out doing jazz in a suburban NJ studio... dancing to Melissa Etheridge, En Vogue and Aretha Franklin, often dressed in spandex or crop tops. At Wesleyan University, I was introduced to modern dance and became a dance major. In New York, I started out dancing in a Bunraku puppet dance/theater company called "Hudson Vagabond Puppets". I have had the opportunity to dance with Silver-Brown Dance, MayDance, Earl Mosley, Miriam Hess, and the FeleciaMaria Project. I am now working with Steeledance (Teri and Oliver Steele) and with Doug Elkins on the show "Fraulein Maria".
