hello...how are you? I just got back from a very crazy week in Montreal....anyways I am just checking in to see how everything is going and where we are at with the insurance....I will be around today so at you leasure lets chat ;)
DNA-wise, I'm a weekly devotee of Nia Love's Modern/Roots class and since February, have been investigating Susan Klein technique. Am also into movement by Adele Myers, Jen Nugent, Doug Elkins, Nicole Wolcott -and Archie Burnett's wackin' and vogueing if only it didn't grind my hips so much. I'm a freelance book editor/writer/translator. Would welcome more chances to talk to other dancers about how we're processing what we're learning.
Brief artistic bio (required for Faculty, Guest Artists and Subs):
I produce/manage site specific dance theater (for Tai Dang - Dancing in the Streets/LMCC see www.taidang.com) or perform in it myself (HT Chen's Apple Dreams at World Finanical Center). Choreographed a structured improv trio with Emily Vetsch and Irene last year - set to spoken text (both set and improvised) rather than music.
Any other information that you want to share:
Would love to talk more about bodily challenges: is it my pelvic construction -will those legs never rise to the occasion?
