Erin Dudley: Choreographer performer
Erin Dudley has been a member of the New York dance community since 1993. Her choreographic work has been presented as solo work and with Anemone Dance Theater throughout the United States. As a performer her interest in Butoh was solidified when as a young dancer she joined the company Poppo & the Gogo Boys. She was recently seen with Akira Kasai in Butoh America. She taught dance at Sony Brook University on Long Island and is a masters candidate at the Uiversity of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Erin is greatly informed by her yoga practice and began teaching in New York in 1999. Through her meditation and movement studies Erin is interested in the consciousness as it transcends and creates form revealing the Self in a pure state.
Class Descriptions (required for Faculty, Guest Artists and Subs):
Class description: Intermediate/Advanced
Erin teaches a challenging breath- centered yoga class and believes that this allows the student to conquer fears while encouraging somatic honesty and mental attentiveness. Practicing in noncompetitive and supportive environment, the diligent yogi will gain a balance of strength and flexibility and discover their mind and body relaxing behind their most powerful asset; their breath.
